I met Maglin Peter at a time when I had no respect towards the kind of feminism that doing the rounds. Maglin is a social activist from the fishing community of Trivandrum, south Kerala. And she has a thing or two to teach us about feminism and activism.

In this interview, she talks about the fishing community, her activities for the fishing community and her experiences in the Tsunami relief camps.

An English translation of this interview can be read at Desi Critics.

Part II will be followed in the next episode.

PS: Please excuse us about the sound quality of this episode; this was a telephonic interview.
